Creating a culture of consistency begins with clearly defined expectations. This workshop supports principals and assistant principals in guiding teachers to establish effective classroom norms, routines, and academic requirements that foster positive behavior, student engagement, and instructional clarity. Participants will explore practical strategies for coaching teachers on setting, modeling, and reinforcing expectations, aligned with schoolwide systems and student success outcomes. Walk away with tools to support teachers in creating learning environments where every student knows what is expected—and is set up to meet those expectations.

Objectives:
  • Develop a shared understanding of how clear expectations support classroom management and academic engagement.
  • Analyze effective strategies for co-constructing expectations with students to promote ownership and accountability.
  • Identify key elements of consistent enforcement and alignment with schoolwide behavior systems.
